About the Event

Thursdays • 4:00–5:30 PM

5 Spring Gatherings - May 7, 14, 21, 28 • June 4

What this is

Run Wild is a beginner-to-intermediate trail running group that brings together movement, nature, and personal growth.

Each session supports kids in:

  • building endurance and trail running skills

  • trying new things and moving through discomfort

  • developing confidence and resilience

  • connecting with peers in a supportive, non-competitive environment

Led by experienced trail runners and mental health professionals, the group creates space for both physical challenge and emotional growth.

Who this is for

Youth ages 9–15 - Open to beginner and intermediate runners

Best suited for kids who are:

  • ready to run and challenge themselves

  • interested in being part of a group experience

  • open to trying something new

What it looks like

We begin together as a full group, then move into smaller running groups based on pace and comfort for the day.

Participants choose the group that feels right for them and stick with that group while we’re on the trail. We come back together throughout each session for connection, games, and rest.

Trail Running & Movement

Warm-ups, walk/jog/run intervals, and guided trail time that build strength, confidence, and familiarity with the trails.

Supportive & Encouraging Environment

This is a non-competitive group where kids are encouraged to challenge themselves while also listening to their bodies. Participants should expect to spend more time running than walking, at a pace that works for them.

Confidence & Connection

Along the way, we create space for connection, reflection, and fun — helping kids feel more at home in their bodies, in nature, and with each other.
