About the Event
Come join us and Ojai Valley Land Conservancy to celebrate National Trails Day by volunteering your time to give back to the valley and take care of our natural spaces. Ojai Valley Land Conservancy will lead us through some activities for restoring and caring for the land. A couple times a year we team up with Ojai Valley Land Conservancy for a volunteer day that caters to a younger age group as well as adults. The land stewards at OVLC teach us about native plants, responsible recreation and stewardship practices that we can use out in our everyday lives. We all learn so much each time!
When: Saturday, June 3rd
Time: 8:30am-12:00pm (stay as long as you'd like)
Who: All ages (activites are flexible to all ages so bring your littles)
Where: OVLC office @ 370 W Baldwin Rd
Getting to the meeting place: The OVLC office is located at 370 W Baldwin Rd (The Old Honor Farm), Bldg A4. If you enter the address into Apple or Google maps, there is a chance the directions will take you up Rice Rd behind our complex. From the corner of Rice Rd and Baldwin Rd, head southwest on Baldwin Rd and take the first left where you will see signs for Help of Ojai and Ed's Recycling. After turning off of Baldwin Rd, turn right to go through the gate and stay to the left as you follow the signs for Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. You will pass the farm on your left as the road wraps around the old jail and brings you to our office. If you run into any issues you can call Adam at (805) 649-8913.
What to bring: Closed-toed shoes (preferably boots) are required for this project. Additionally, please bring snacks and water. It is recommended that you also bring:
- Long-sleeve shirt
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunblock)
