Youth Hiking Workshop- Confidence in Nature (Boys 8-11)

We all need tools to feel confident going outdoors for a hike or outdoor adventure. 

This workshop will be focused on building your confidence in nature through lessons in basic navigation skills, plant identification, leave no trace principles, awareness practices and discussions about therapeutic benefits of nature. The workshop will combine hiking, skills building and conversations designed to promote confidence.

All youth hiking workshops are held at a trailhead in Ojai and are led by facilitators with mental health and nature experience. The outings highlight our core principles of CONNECT-REFLECT-EXPLORE by combine hiking, group discussions, journaling and connection activities that encourage sharing, self-reflection, relating, feeling heard and enjoying the natural world.
